I love this song! The fact that it has received over 12 million views on Youtube should tell you something… The funny thing is there are several other variations of this video that have also received a half million hits a piece.

I love HBO’s recap of True Blood and more importantly, it gives new viewers a chance to catch on to what took place during season one.

One of my favorite conversations is analyzing DJs. Steve Aoki who has been the topic of countless conversations when I am talking about the DJ world is one of the DJs that I have a love/hate relationship with. I love this guy, but he irks me at times. Aoki is a great entertainer and for the most part I love everything about him. I like the indie music he breaks, I love Dim Mak, and I appreciate his energy and spirit. HOWEVER, as a DJ, he sometimes makes me mad. I have seen this guy DJ countless times in several cities. In fact, more than likely I will see Aoki perform with Felix Da Housecat another guy I have a love/hate relationship with at the Get Load In The Park Festival in London late August. My biggest issue with Aoki is that at times he is all over the place with his song selection as a DJ. No question he plays hot music, but at times he seems to lose the flow. Aside from that, this guy is great!

Make sure to read Charles Hamilton’s apology to his girlfriend, their makeup video, and his remarks regarding the Chris Brown Rihanna situation right here.
For those who are saying “Who is Charles Hamilton?”, he is a rapper… You can check him out free styling with Kanye West on Youtube, but I decided to post his “Brooklyn Girl” video.

If you love good music, want to read about interesting things, or want an occasional glimpse into A Diamond Life, make sure to check out DJ Rashida’s blog.
One of my favorite female DJ’s, the eclectic, fabulous, and always classy DJ Rashida has started a blog called A Diamond LIFE. I am sure you will not be disappointed as Rashida is a sweet young lady and one of the few people in “Hollyweird” that I actually like, respect, and appreciate. I have had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Ra for a few years and I can tell you that she truly is living A Diamond LIFE.

Apparently, bedbugs are on the rise in the U.S. and North America prompting legislation to be introduced to the House of Representatives called Don’t Let the Bed Bugs Bite Act of 2009. Things are getting so bad that The Environmental Protection Agency actually organized the first-ever National Bed Bug Summit for health experts, housing officials, and others to discuss a resurgence of these bugs.

As I was surfing the net I came across the caziest top 10 list. I wont bother to post the entire 10 Outrageous/Over Priced Hotels list, but I would like to make a comment on the $18,000 a night Royal Suite at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I am hoping someone can explain to me “WHY” they would pay for this hotel. It is hideous and an eye sore. At least I think so. A two-story suite that centers around an epic staircase, this Royal Suite has Carrara marble floors, mahogany furniture and a master bedroom with a rotating four-post canopy bed. Guests also enjoy Hermes bathroom products, Faubourg fragrances, their own private elevator and cinema. For a bit of an extra “Royal” charge there is a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce or helicopter included.

Just as I posted about Cherry Dr. Pepper sponsoring the Maxim Hot 100 party, their commercial came on featuring Gene Simmons. While Pepsi and Mountain Dew are promoting their “Throwback” sodas which are reissues of the original formulas made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, it seems that Cherry Dr. Pepper is “throwing” around lost of cash to promote their new cherry flavor.

This years’ party was held at the Santa Monica airport’s Barker Hangar and there definitely was a huge turnout. Upon arriving, I saw pure madness. The red carpet was full of celebrities and paparazzi and the outside patio/smoking area was also crazy. There was so much going on I was actually confused as to where the entrance was for those like me that were not gracing the red carpet. After asking someone where the entrance was, believe it or not, I just walked right in. No one asked me for a pass, ticket, invite or anything. Admittedly, I do look like a model (snickers)… Once inside, I was immediately approached by the nicest man named Gary. If I had to guess I would say Gary was about 50+, which is not my idea guy to approach me at a Maxim Magazine party; however, 20 minutes into the conversation I found myself enjoying our conversation. The atmosphere of the party was really something. Many B-level celebrities were in attendance including Ciara, Spencer and Heidi, Vanessa Minnillo, Nick Lachey, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian but none of them stayed. Many of them walked the red carpet and left the party by 11:00 PM leaving allot of D-Listers and pretenders behind. To put it in prospective, Oliva Wilde and Megan Fox who are number one and two on the Maxim Hot 100 did not bother to show up to the party. Aside from really enjoying the décor and hanging out with my dear friends from Modern Home and Living Magazine who invited me to the party (THANKS A MIL), I was not impressed. I think what was really the bummer for me was the fact that DJ AM who I absolutely regard as one of my top five DJs was definitely having a bad day. I was so bummed I did not even bother to go to the T-Mobile party the next day. In the words of Puffy, I decided to stay “Locked In.” I did enjoy the cotton candy and the ferris wheel. Oh and the Dr. Pepper Cherry coloa drinks at the party looked good. Too bad I do not drink alcohol or caffeine! My LIFE,
Wednesday night I jumped at the chance to attend the Maxim Magazine Hot 100 Party. Ironically last year the PR firm that was handling the party last year gave me a hard time about securing an invite which I did not understand considering I had just booked one of my artists on Maxim Radio and she was featured on Maxim.com Girl-on-Film the same week.
