Kelly Kulick Makes History As The First Lady EVER To Win The PBA (Bowling) Tour

As a PBA member and as someone who grew up bowling, it is a treat to see Kelly Kulick become the first female winner on the PBA Tour.

Kelly actually outscored a male bowler 265-195 to take home the $40,000 first prize and a two-year PBA Tour exemption. A right hander, the 32-year-old earned a berth in the Tournament of Champions by winning the PBA Women’s World Championship last September.

To date, all I have received from the PBA was a “200 Bowler” magnet. haha…
In honor of her accomplishment, I am going to bowl a 220 today! At least I am going to try.

Pronouncing The Year 2010: ‘Twenty Ten’ vs. ‘Two Thousand Ten’

There seems to be an ongoing debut among experts about how to pronouce the year 2010. It is assummed coming off of two “thousand nine,” that people will probably say “two thousand ten.” However, the National Association of Good Grammar (NAGG) has decided to step in and let the masses know that 2010 should officially be pronounced “twenty ten” and all subsequent years should be pronounced as “twenty eleven,” “twenty twelve,” etc. Contray to NAGG, David Crystal, author of the Cambridge Encyclopedia of the English Language has predicted that the change of pronunciation to “twenty X” will not occur until 2011. He believes in 2011 people will say “twenty eleven,” because the way people pronounce years depends on rhythm, rather than logic. He also claims that the rhythm or “flow” of “two thousand and ten,” beats that of “twenty ten,” but the flow of “twenty eleven” beats “two thousand and eleven.”

I came across this story a few days ago and prior to the widely reported news reports. I meant to post it, but got so busy I forgot. Now I see that the main stream media has picked it up. I found the story of interest because last week when I was in Las Vegas I was talking to a few friends that are prioperty owners regarding their concerns on the completion of Center Center, which is a new development on the Las Vegas strip. apparently, because of the lack of financing, there have been many delays with the completion of this multi-million dollar complex. Oregon States LeGarrett Blount Suspension

I was wondering how this would play out and after watching the press conference on ESPN, I must say that I am somewhat pleased with the outcome. I definitely was in favor of him being suspended, especially since this is his second incident. Regardless, I am extremely pleased at how the head coach handled himself and the words he shared during the press conference.

I like the fact that instead of throwing this young man under the bus after he clearly made a mistake, the coach and college rallied behind him and collectively decided to help and counsel this young man for his action. What really was impressive was when Coach Chip Kelly said “Blount will remain on scholarship.” Unlike with the Michael Vick and Chris Brown situation, I think LeGarrett Blount’s punishment was suitable… I am not condoning domestic violence or animal cruelty, but I disagreed with the punishment given to both Chris and Vick.

For those that don’t know, Blount punched Boise State’s Byron Hout in the face after Oregon lost the game. Then, Blount put a fist to the helmet of Ducks’ teammate Garrett Embry, who was trying to play peacemaker. He then left the field struggling with two police officers and two stadium security guards with Ducks assistant Scott Frost being caught up in the chaos. Blount also had a hostile brush with a Boise State fan.

Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein Found Dead – RIP

I have not posted in a while, but as soon as I heard the news I felt compelled to write something. I admit I have stated many times that I was a self-proclaimed DJ AM GROUPIE! I have seen AM on more than a few occasions DJing. I have seen him at his best and on days when I thought he was lack-luster, but I always remained a big fan. My memories are very vivid of seeing him spin in cities such as Las Vegas, Miami, and Los Angeles. People would always ask me why was DJ AM in my top 3 DJ’s and I would simple say until you have witnessed his A game you have no idea.

As the story develops I will continue to update this post. TMZ is reporting that drug paraphernalia was found at the scene and that he had been dead for a possibly a couple of days. As you may be aware, AM was shooting his MTV show on Rehab and in fact had spent some time recovering from drugs, so I hope this is not true. Also, a little know fact is that AM actually had Gastric Bypass surgery after gaining a tremendous amount of weight. For me, I am in disbelief that a guy can survive all the things he has including a plane crash and end up dead in his prime. Such a waste!

Is Lady GaGa a Hermaphrodite (Man)?

Rumors have been going around that Lady GaGa is really a man. Recently, video has surfaced showing something that appears to be a “man” part near Lady GaGa’s female parts. Supposedly, Lady GaGa finally came out and “alledgedly” confirmed the rumors with the following statement:

“Its not something that I’m ashamed of, just isn’t something that i go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but i consider myself a female. Its just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life. the reason I haven’t talked about it is that its not a big deal to me. like come on. its not like we all go around talking about our vags. Michael Jackson Ghost At Neverland During CNN Interview???

Words cannot describe the feeling that I felt as I watched this video. Although I missed the shadow figure the first time I watched the video, I still felt a tremendous feeling take over my spirit. I replayed the video and the feeling that I had shook my soul deeply. Not sure how true this video is, whether it’s been doctored, or if I am still overwhelmed with grief about Michael Jacksons passing, but I am definitely spooked! Some say it is just a shadow. I am not sure, but I can tell you m heart beats very heavy each time I watch this video and I am not the scary type… PLEASE R.I.P. Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson “This Is It” Lenticular Concert Tickets

Should I request a refund or the special Michael Jackson lenticular ticket?

What a dilemma! I have patiently waited to hear about the refund policy for the Michael Jackson “This Is It” tour, but I did not expect to hear that Ticketmaster would also offer an option to receive your actually ticket in lieu of a refund. I am a bit torn as to what I am going to do, but I think I may opt to receive a refund for one ticket and a lenticular ticket for the other. I will either keep the ticket as a souvenir or do what everyone else is doing… sell it on EBay.

There is the potential of 1 million lenticular tickets (50 sold out shows in which 20,000 people could attend). Even if only 10% claim their tickets, that’s still 100,000 tickets floating around. I am not sure how valuable the ticket will be, but I think if anything it would be a great piece of memorabilia and history.

About the lenticular ticket
The tickets printed with the special lenticular process, were inspired and designed by Michael Jackson for the fans attending his shows. This is the actual “oversized” concert ticket, measuring 82mm x 186mm (3.23in x 7.32in) for the 50 This Is It shows at The O2. His hopes were his fans would want to keep the special ticket as a reminder of the memorable evening that they would share together.

The lenticular concert tickets feature one of eight unique designs printed via the lenticular printing process. Lenticular printing is a 3D process that can contain animation, multiple photos, morphing or a combination of these. The front of the ticket is the lenticular image and the reverse side is the standard ticket detail including the performer name, tour name, show date, venue, section number, row number, and seat number.
