The title states it all. It’s New Years Eve and this is my 60th blog post. Like most people, I am hyped for the New Year. For me it is more about the fact I just hate the last week of the year. I hate it for several reasons, but mainly because the world is on holiday hours. Silly right! I know… I feel as if everyone is busy preparing for the New Year and the way I see it, it’s just another day.
I never set a New Year resolution; however, I have made some plans. I am sure you are wondering what’s next. Well, I have intentions to blog a bit more. As I start my personal branding campaign for 2009, I hope to share my experiences and have a bit more direction regarding topics covered on “Exposed To LIFE”. I also have plans to take my company FIRE House Management (www.FIREHouseManagement.com) in a different direction.
There are many topics that I want to cover on my blog, but more importantly I really want to tie in my personal experiences on my personal branding journey and updates with the progress of my company. As I talk more about those things, I promise to continue to post other information such as celebrity updates, hot topics, music news, useful information and other things that we are Exposed To
Thank you for all the support and for reading my thoughts and comments. Have a great New Years celebration and I look forward to posting more exciting information in 2009!
I heard some chatter about Rihanna possibly starring in the remake of Berry Gordy’s “The Last Dragon”
; however, like the chatter about Ashanti playing Dorothy in the remake of “The WIZ”
, I let it go in one ear and out the other. Well, apparently, it seems that there is a chance we will see Rihanna on the big screen soon with Samuel L. Jackson.
According to a recent article (RZA Sets His Sights On Rihanna For Remake Of ‘The Last Dragon,’ Starring Samuel L. Jackson) posted on MTV.com, if RZA had his way, he’d have Rihanna star in his new film. The Wu-Tang Clan kingpin is co-producing a remake of the 1980s fan favorite with Samuel L. Jackson and told MTV News he’d like the sexy songstress to take on the role of video show host/singer Laura Charles. Prince once reportedly love interest Vanity originated the role in the 1985 flick, while Taimak tackled the lead character and her romantic interest, Bruce Leroy (a.k.a. Leroy Green).
I really like Rihanna although she jacked my girl FeFe Dobson’s style; however, I am not sure if she is the best choice. Than again, anything is better than Beyonce! I really like her as well, but not for this role. In fact, Christina Millian would be a hot choice…

Well, you learn something new everyday. According to a Los Angeles Times article, Warner Music Group’s videos began disappearing from YouTube this weekend. Apparently the casualty of a contract impasse between the music company and the Internets dominant video site.
Negotiations between the two broke down last week over licensing fees for Warner’s music and videos, say people familiar with the discussions who were not authorized to speak publicly. The first of the major labels to strike a licensing deal with YouTube, Warner negotiated their deal in 2006 setting the stage for the $1.65-billion acquisition of YouTube Inc. by search giant Google Inc. Under terms of YouTube’s contracts, the labels stand to collect either a minimum fee of less than a penny each time a music video is watched or a split of advertising revenue, whichever sum is greater. Warner Music Group is home to such acts as Madonna, Green Day, rapper T.I., Red Hot Chili Peppers, My Chemical Romance, Seal, and Linkin Park.
I had no idea that record labels collected a fee from YouTube.
I HATED the book “He’s Just Not That Into You”! In fact I read it and returned it. I never do things like that, but I thought it was so dumb it didn’t even deserve space on my bookshelf. Now I see they have made a movie out of it. Go figure! Because the movie has an all-star cast that includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Baryymore, Ben Affleck, Kevin Connelly, Justin Long, and Kris Kristofferson, I am sure it will do well; however, they will not get $10 from me.
Yesterday I went to the movies to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons and they showed a movie trailer for Confessions of a Shopaholic. If you recall, a few days ago I blogged about a “Shopaholic’s Dilemma” in today’s economy. Although, Confessions of a Shopaholic is not the type of movie that I would normally waste money on at the theater to see, I must admit the trailer lured me in. Based on the novel “Confessions of a Shopaholic” by Sophie Kinsella, the cast includes Isla Fisher, Joan Cusack, John Goodman, and Hugh Dancy. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the movie is centered around Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) a college grad who can’t seem to break her habit for making impulsive purchases, and while she’s always decked out in the latest styles, her credit card bills are as thick as a telephone book. Rebecca eventually lands a job as a financial journalist in New York City to support her shopping addiction and later falls for a wealthy entrepreneur. Confessions of a Shopaholic seems like the typical romantic comedy and VERY reminiscence of the movie Uptown Girls with Brittany Murphy, Dakota Fanning, and Heather Locklear. However, it may be worth checking out.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Charris Bowers a 27-year-old Deltona woman told authorities she bit her husband’s penis because she didn’t want to have sex with him.
The sheriff’s office reports, the Bowerses had been to a bar Friday night. Delou Bowers (husband) told authorities that when they got home, his wife began to perform oral sex on him but then began to bite his penis. He tried to stop her, he told a deputy, but she kept at it. He then began to punch her in the head and pushed her to the floor, and she let go, according to the arrest report.
As you can imagine, Charris Bowers gave officers a different story. In fact she gave them two versions of what happened. She first said she was sitting on the couch when her husband walked over and put his penis in her mouth. “She then bit it to get him away from her,” the report said. She later said her husband walked over with his penis exposed, and she bit it. Regardless of what the “real” story is, she definitely bit her husband’s penis. For more on the story click here.
