I was wondering how this would play out and after watching the press conference on ESPN, I must say that I am somewhat pleased with the outcome. I definitely was in favor of him being suspended, especially since this is his second incident. Regardless, I am extremely pleased at how the head coach handled himself and the words he shared during the press conference.
I like the fact that instead of throwing this young man under the bus after he clearly made a mistake, the coach and college rallied behind him and collectively decided to help and counsel this young man for his action. What really was impressive was when Coach Chip Kelly said “Blount will remain on scholarship.” Unlike with the Michael Vick and Chris Brown situation, I think LeGarrett Blount’s punishment was suitable… I am not condoning domestic violence or animal cruelty, but I disagreed with the punishment given to both Chris and Vick.
For those that don’t know, Blount punched Boise State’s Byron Hout in the face after Oregon lost the game. Then, Blount put a fist to the helmet of Ducks’ teammate Garrett Embry, who was trying to play peacemaker. He then left the field struggling with two police officers and two stadium security guards with Ducks assistant Scott Frost being caught up in the chaos. Blount also had a hostile brush with a Boise State fan.

For those who are saying “Who is Charles Hamilton?”, he is a rapper… You can check him out free styling with Kanye West on Youtube, but I decided to post his “Brooklyn Girl” video.
Make sure to read Charles Hamilton’s apology to his girlfriend, their makeup video, and his remarks regarding the Chris Brown Rihanna situation right here.
Interesting enough, Thursday night on my way to the set to see the filming of the new Brotha video me and a good friend of mind had a very deep conversation regarding the state of Chris Brown’s career. During our discussion, we came to the conclusion that unfortunately the media is crucifying Chris Brown and more importantly, the only way he could recover was if Rihanna took him back. We agreed that it would be beneficial for both of them to work out some type of “financial” agreement. After all, Chris is young and although there is NEVER an excuse for a man to hit a woman, young teenagers make mistakes. Unfortunately, his mistake was just played out in the public eye for everyone to judge.
All within 24 hours of my conversation, it looks like Rihanna and Chris are indeed back together according to reports.
“Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the “Umbrella” singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE. “They’re together again. They care for each other,” says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes, on Miami Beach’s Star Island. Adds the source: “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.” In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. “He called to wish her happy birthday,” a source told the magazine. “They’ve reached out to each other. It’s been mutual.” Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted. “
Mark Geragos did not do the best job defending Winona Ryder on shoplifting charges or Scott Peterson for was convicted of murder. Mark Geragos is probably better known for defending music legend Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial. Let’s hope he does a better job defending Chris! After all, if Michael and R. Kelly can get off… I am saying….
I am VERY disappointed with the news reporting of Chris Brown and Rihanna. I like both Rihanna (aka FeFe Dobson Style taker) and Chris. In fact, I actually had the pleasure of meeting Chris Brown during Grammy weekend a few years ago and I thought he was a very polite young guy. Regardless of what is really going on, I would have hoped as entertainers they would have handled the situation privately. I am not excusing Chris if he indeed hit Rihanna; however, I think the matter should have been handled discretely. Originally MTV reported
that the two were involved in a car accident similar to last year, now it is reported that Chris and Rihanna were in a physical altercation..
Because the story is still being reported and we can expect constant updates, I have decided to link to one of the blogs that I like to go to for credible information. The folks over at www.TheYBF.com seem to be doing a great job at reporting on the story, so please feel free to stay up-to-date as it all onfolds by clicking here.
